Trial of Echoes is a solo boss gauntlet where you clear a chain of echo encounters, speak to the Keeper between rooms, then claim your reward from the final treasure room. Once you commit, there is no normal teleport out. You either finish the trial or you are defeated.

Quick Overview

Style: solo boss gauntlet with a reward room at the end.
Goal: defeat every echo boss, continue through the Keeper, then search the reward object in the treasure room.
Escape rules: normal teleport attempts are blocked inside the trial.
On death: your run ends and you are removed from the trial.
On logout: the active instance is cleaned up, so do not start a run unless you can finish it.

How To Start

Enter through the Trial of Echoes entrance. The game will warn you before starting because this is a commitment run. If the entrance says the Trial of Echoes is inactive, the encounter is temporarily disabled and you should try again later.

The first room is a staging room with the Keeper of Echoes. Use it to prepare, then proceed into the combat chain.

Boss Order

Echo Kalphite Queen opens the run and tests basic survival.
Echo King Black Dragon follows with dragon pressure and positioning.
Echo Cerberus adds heavier prayer and movement checks.
Echo Hunllef is the main consistency check of the middle run.
Echo Dagannoth Kings forces you to manage multiple combat styles.
Echo Sol Heredit is the final combat room before rewards.
Treasure Room is where you collect your loot.

Between Rooms

After a boss is defeated, the Keeper of Echoes appears. Speak to the Keeper to move forward. The Keeper is your checkpoint between encounters; do not leave the room expecting the run to save like a normal dungeon.

Rewards

Finishing a run gives a guaranteed Drygore dart bundle, then a handful of reward rolls from the main table. The Trial also rolls once for an Echo Orb unique. If the purple chest appears in the treasure room, that means the orb roll landed.

Echo Orb uniques

Morytania Echo Orb
Wilderness Echo Orb
Desert Echo Orb
Fremennik Echo Orb
Kandarin Echo Orb
Varlamore Echo Orb
Asgarnia Echo Orb

Base Echo Orb rates

The Trial rolls the Echo Orb chest once per completed run. The base orb-chest chance is 6%. If that roll succeeds, the orb itself is chosen from a weighted table.

Orb	Base chance per completion
Morytania Echo Orb	About 1 in 567
Wilderness Echo Orb	About 1 in 189
Desert Echo Orb	About 1 in 189
Fremennik Echo Orb	About 1 in 142
Kandarin Echo Orb	About 1 in 113
Varlamore Echo Orb	About 1 in 71
Asgarnia Echo Orb	About 1 in 57

These are the base rates before Trial-specific orb boosts are applied. The orb-chest roll can be improved by a Raid Unique Charm ring, active Raiding Restorations, and the Keeper of Echoes pet while it is actively following you. Regular drop-rate bonus is not listed here because it does not raise the base 6% orb-chest gate.

Boosting The Orb Roll

The Echo Orb chest starts at a 6% base chance per completion. The confirmed boosts are:

Raid Unique Charm ring: improves the orb-chest roll based on the charm level.
Raiding Restorations: improves purple chance when the perk is active.
Keeper of Echoes pet: gives an extra orb-chest boost only while the pet is actively following you.

Regular drop-rate bonus is not counted as an orb-chest boost. It should not be used to calculate the 6% Echo Orb gate.

Sacrificing Echo Orbs

The Keeper of Echoes can accept Echo Orbs as sacrifices. Sacrificing an orb consumes it and gives a small chance at the Keeper of Echoes pet. Only sacrifice orbs you are comfortable losing.

Tips Before Entering

Bring a setup that can handle multiple combat styles, not just one boss.
Do not start a run if you expect to log out soon.
Save supplies for the later rooms; the final half is where mistakes become expensive.
If you see a purple reward chest, make sure you search the reward object before leaving the treasure room.
