Tombs of Amascut is the raid you tune yourself. You pick invocations before entering, each one adds to your raid level, and raid level drives both boss health and reward quality.

The four path bosses are done before the Wardens. All three combat styles are needed across the raid, so bring switches.

How boss health scales

This is the part worth understanding before you set a single invocation, because it is not what most players assume.

boss health = base health x (1 + 0.25 x path level) x (0.25 x party size)

Two things follow from that formula:

Party size scales health linearly

Party size	Health multiplier from party
1	0.25x
2	0.5x
3	0.75x
4	1.0x
5	1.25x
8	2.0x

A four player raid is the break-even point where bosses have their base health. Solo raids have a quarter of that. Going solo is far less punishing here than it looks.

Path level scales health on top

Path level	Health multiplier from path
0	1.0x
1	1.25x
2	1.5x
3	1.75x

The two multiply. A solo raid at path 3 gives bosses 0.4375x base health. A five player raid at path 3 gives them 2.19x.

Invocations

43 invocations are available. The number next to each is what it adds to your raid level.

Death and restarts

Sprint For It	25

Path difficulty

Invocation	Raid level
Pathseeker	15
Pathfinder	40
Pathmaster	50
Walk The Path	50

These are the ones that set path level, which feeds the health formula above. They are also the biggest single raid level contributors, so this is where most of your level comes from.

Building a raid level

The cheapest raid level comes from the 10 point invocations that only affect a single room. If a room's mechanic does not bother you, its invocation is nearly free level.

Suggested approach

Start with the path invocations. Pathseeker at 15 is a cheap 15 level and only one step of path difficulty.
Add the room invocations you can handle. Ten levels each, and each only affects one boss.
Add time pressure last. Walk For It through Sprint For It add level without changing any mechanic, they just require you to be fast enough.
Leave Insanity and Walk The Path until the end. Both are 50 and both are genuine difficulty, not padding.

If you are going for a specific raid level target, remember solo raids already have bosses at a quarter health. Running solo at a high raid level is often easier than a group at a lower one.

Supplies

Supplies are set in the lobby before you enter, not carried in from your bank. Check the supplies interface each raid, because the food and potion invocations change what is actually usable once you are inside.

Rewards

Reward quality scales with raid level, so the point of stacking invocations is better loot rather than bragging rights. Collect from the reward room at the end.

The four Wardens pets and the ToA boss pets all give +2% Magic experience. See the Pets guide.
