A big week. New systems for turning gear into materials, a new slayer master, a new event, and a long list of fixes for things that were quietly working out wrong.

New Features

Toolbelt

Stores 18 tools permanently so they never take inventory space again: hammer, saw, chisel, knife, needle, shears, tinderbox, pestle and mortar, glassblowing pipe, spade, rake, seed dibber, gardening trowel, watering can and bucket, plus feather, thread and ball of wool as consumable stacks.

Bank Clean-Up

A slot in the bank that turns gear straight into crafting minerals, without a trip to the bench.

Open your bank and drag an item onto the break-down slot. ( Bottom left)
The bank closes and asks you to confirm.
Choose yes, collect your minerals, and the bank reopens where you left it.

You get the same materials the item bench pays, at that item's own tier. Dull mineral and old enhancer always, with shiny, modern, glistening and innovative on a chance that scales with tier. Higher tier gear pays better and is far more likely to roll the rarer four.

Safety

Nothing is destroyed without you confirming. An item the bench does not recognise gives a red warning and a separate, explicit destroy prompt.
Maximum 1,000 items per action. Break a stack of 5,000 and 1,000 convert; the rest stay in your bank.
If your salvage filter excludes every material the item would produce, nothing happens and you keep the item.

Clue scroll auto-salvage

Hard, Elite and Master clue rewards can convert straight into minerals as you open them, instead of filling your inventory. Unlocks at Adamant Supporter.

What is and is not salvaged

Only rewards the bench can actually dissolve. Anything else is handed to you as a normal item, so nothing is silently lost.
Coins and clue scrolls are never salvaged.
Broadcast-worthy rare drops are never salvaged.
Beginner, Easy and Medium clues are not affected at all.

Payout scales with what you actually pulled, at the item's real bench tier rather than a flat rate.

Master has the lowest coverage but by far the best payouts. The 3rd age bow, wand, longsword, axe and pickaxe are all top tier dissolves.

Salvage is silent. No chat spam, the minerals just appear.

Configuring it

Open the options by right-clicking a clue scroll or reward casket and choosing Salvage Options.

Choose materials. Toggle each of the six on or off. Only want glistening minerals? Turn the rest off. If a reward would only produce materials you have switched off, it is handed to you as an item instead of being consumed.
Minerals go to: inventory then bank (default), everything to bank, or keep resources in inventory.
Unsalvaged gear goes to: inventory then bank (default), or straight to bank.

Combining "keep resources in inventory" with "straight to bank" keeps minerals on you while gear banks itself.

Red vs Green [NEW EVENT]

A staff-run elimination event at home. Join with ::event or ::rvg.

A world announcement gives two minutes notice and names the prize.
Join, then stand on either the red or the green tiles.
Each round one side is wiped out. Players are frozen during the sweep, so nobody can hop sides once a round starts.
The last player standing wins the prize.

No gear, no requirements, nothing at risk. You cannot join from the Wilderness or a PvP area, and if you miss the join window you can still watch.

Mortimer ( Existing but major fixes )

Tasks from Mortimer come with a modifier attached, and you choose from the offers rather than taking what you are given.

Requires 70 Slayer and 100 combat, and 99 Slayer waives the combat requirement. Skipping costs 100 points.

The third task choice now unlocks at 50 completed Mortimer tasks, down from 100.
Mortimer now only offers creatures that have a superior variant. Basilisks, abyssal demons, gargoyles, nechryael, dark beasts, hydras, drakes, smoke devils and the rest of that list.

Araxyte slayer tasks

Araxytes are now a proper slayer task. 92 Slayer, assigned by Duradel, 30 to 60 per task, in Araxxor's lair. Their superior variant is the Dreadborn Araxyte.

The More Eyes Than Sense unlock (150 points) now extends araxyte tasks to 52 to 105. It was purchasable before but had no task to extend.

Prestige Point Store

The store is now stocked.

All nine Echo Orbs are sold individually: Asgarnia, Desert, Fremennik, Kandarin, Morytania, Tirannwn, Wilderness, Kourend and Varlamore.

The box is the cheaper route if you do not mind which one you get, but only contains 7 of the 9. The store also supports buying more than one at a time.

Ironman drop privacy

Hardcore and Ultimate Ironman drops are now private. Items you drop are visible only to you and never become public, so you can use the floor for space management without anyone taking your gear. They still despawn on the normal timer. Wilderness drops are unchanged.

Volcano

Iron fragments are worth ten times more. The Emblem Trader exchange was a straight one for one relabel. 2,500 fragments now returns 25,000 Blood Money.
Mining experience raised to 250 per swing, up from 1, matching Shooting Stars.

Discord player lookups

Four commands that were listed but did nothing now work, and read from the hiscores so the player does not need to be online.

Bug Fixes

Ranged combat

Dizana's quiver now contributes its ranged strength to your max hit.
Dark bow and magic shortbow specials now use quiver ammunition correctly.
Toxic blowpipe was double-counting ranged strength. This one is a reduction; its old numbers were wrong, not intended.

Slayer

Boss tasks now pay Blood Money. Tasks from Nomad and from the Slayer Task Pick Scroll were never awarding it per kill. They now pay 80 to 100 per kill, the same as Duradel and Krystilia.
Blood Money from tasks is now guaranteed rather than a chance roll, with the amount per kill reduced to balance it. Payouts are more consistent trip to trip.
Blood Money reward message spam has been silenced.

Nex

Players are no longer left stuck in combat after Nex dies.
Stale room state after a wipe is cleared properly.
Fixed invisible and broken re-entry cases.
Leftover encounter NPCs are removed once the room is empty, and spawn logic ignores stale NPCs from a previous attempt.
Zaryte bow added to the Nex drop table.

Alchemical Hydra

The "defences partially absorb your attack" message fired on every single hit, often 60 or more times a kill. It now shows at most twice per fight and only once per form, so it reads as a phase cue rather than chat spam. The damage reduction itself is unchanged.

Donator benefits

Donator drop rate. The top rank was receiving no drop rate bonus at all, and now correctly receives the highest in the game. It also inherits every other rank-gated benefit, which it was previously excluded from.
Wilderness reward boxes. Bronze and Iron Supporter had their odds the wrong way round.
Gear preset slots. Landing on exactly a milestone donation total dropped you back to the base 2 slots instead of granting the tier you had just reached.
Chambers of Xeric death penalty. The reduced penalty for higher ranks was never applied, so everyone lost the full amount on death.
Item breakdown. The dull mineral return had its minimum and maximum reversed, showing a backwards range and skewing what you received.

Upgrade Machine

Ingredient removal is now exact.
Fixed cases where an upgrade could complete while leaving the original items in your inventory.
Closed a duplication risk affecting high value upgrades.

Discord

Points shop reported "your account is not linked" to players who were correctly linked. It now shows a zero balance instead of a false error.
Supporter rank roles. Supreme Donator had no role tier defined in our discord sync, offline supporters could have their role removed, and staff who also support the server had their supporter rank hidden behind their staff rank. All corrected. You will hold exactly one supporter role, matching your current rank.

Tournaments

Tournaments no longer fire on an automatic timer and are now started manually while we ensure a few things. Countdown broadcasts and sign-up with ::tournament once one begins.

Other

Individual skill levels were never being recorded to the hiscores, so anything reading them saw level 1 while experience tracked correctly. Levels and equipment are now saved properly. ( Runelite Plugin)

Fixed a Penguin Hunt error that broke the event every spawn cycle.
The Keeper of Echoes now explains itself instead of doing nothing when a Dominion of Echoes run is lost.
Amulet of Rupture crafting added.
The Discord to in-game friends chat bridge works in one direction only. In-game chat reaches Discord; the reverse does not yet.
Hotdrop boosted rates now show in the bestiary and drop viewer. Previously the viewer showed base rates during a hotdrop, so the number on screen did not match what you were rolling.
