Completionist Cape, Halloween, Catalyst Sacrifice, City Reputation, Giant Bosses, and more.

This week is built around long-term account goals, seasonal progression, cleaner reward systems, and a few new routes that make existing grinds feel better to play. The biggest piece is the Completionist Cape system, but there is a lot packed around it for PvM, events, shops, and progression.

Completionist Cape and Upgrade System Paths

Completionist Cape requirement interface preview

The Completionist Cape is now a real end-game account chase through Mac. Speak to Mac and choose Completionist cape to open the new interface, see your full checklist, and track what is left.

The normal Completionist Cape costs 5,000,000 Platinum tokens once the requirements are complete.
The trimmed Completionist Cape costs 5,000,000 Platinum tokens plus 150,000 Donator Points.
The interface colour-codes progress and lets players click a requirement to print exact progress and a hint in chat.
Requirements include prestiging, all four city reputations, achievements, combat achievements, quests, collection log entries, Slayer unlocks, boss kill counts, and carrying the Platinum token cost.

The cape also has its own Features menu. That includes a one-hour drop-rate boost on an eight-hour cooldown, a private daily Zombie Dome, and Max Cape utility such as teleports, spellbook swap, POH options, and skilling conveniences.

Completionist Cape Upgrade System cape paths preview

The Upgrade System also gained a full set of Completionist Cape upgrade paths. Players can build specialized cape variants for melee, ranged, and magic routes, with trimmed donor-tier versions requiring Mac's trimmed Completionist Cape as the base.

Failed Completionist Cape upgrade attempts preserve the core Completionist Cape base while still respecting the recipe's catalyst/ingredient rules.

Halloween Event: Boss Rotations and Pumpkin Hunt

The Halloween event is now more than a single shop. It has rotating haunted bosses, a Death turn-in loop, and a world Pumpkin Hunt.

Five bosses are active at a time during the event.
The active boss set rotates every two hours.
Active boss kills can drop pumpkins.
Pumpkins can be turned in to Death for Halloween Event Points.
Death can show the active bosses, open the Halloween Store, explain the event, or show your current points.

The Pumpkin Hunt runs while the Halloween event is active. Fifteen magical pumpkins are hidden across surface towns and hubs, the areas are announced globally, and each pumpkin can only be claimed once.

Each found pumpkin gives 2 to 4 pumpkins.
Each pumpkin has a chance to include an Autumn Mystery Box.
Each pumpkin also has a rarer chance to include 5 Baby H'ween Mystery Boxes.
Unclaimed pumpkins rot after 45 minutes, then the next wave comes later in the cycle.

The Halloween Store includes masks, mystery boxes, sigils, scrolls, and seasonal cosmetics. Players who want value should focus on boss rotations and pumpkin hunts together: bosses feed Death turn-ins, while hunts give fast event currency shots and seasonal box chances.

Catalyst Sacrifice and Catalyst Mystery Box

The new Catalyst Sacrifice system gives upgrade catalysts ( Rare Ingredients ) a permanent use even when players no longer need a specific one. Use eligible catalyst items on the sacrifice machine or use the machine's Sacrifice option to turn all eligible inventory catalysts into Catalyst Points.

Eligible upgrade catalysts become a permanent currency instead of sitting unused in the bank.
Higher-value catalysts pay more points, with Echo orbs treated as premium sacrifices.
The reward shop spends Catalyst Points on new reward sinks.

The Catalyst Sacrifice Rewards shop currently includes Autumn Mystery Boxes, the new Catalyst Mystery Box, a random Echo orb box, and a high-cost bond reward.

The Catalyst Mystery Box is built from the Upgrade System's catalyst pool. It can roll upgrade catalysts, Echo orbs, rare extras, and a bond reward. Stronger upgrade catalysts are weighted rarer, so the box is useful without flooding the game with the most powerful inputs.

Item Glow Overlay and Box Reward Reveals

The client now has a built-in Apex item glow overlay so valuable items are easier to recognize in your inventory, bank, and equipment screen. Instead of covering the sprite, the glow sits behind the item icon so the item stays readable while still standing out.

Orange marks best-in-slot gear, top mystery boxes, and the highest-value bond rewards.
Purple marks high-value gear and premium reward boxes such as catalyst and echo-style boxes.
Blue marks mid-tier valuable gear, donator boxes, vote boxes, and other useful progression rewards.
Teal marks Upgrade System catalysts, including Doom-signed pages, Echo orbs, boss parts, and other catalyst inputs.
Green marks Halloween event items such as pumpkins, Halloween gloves, and seasonal boxes.
Gold marks bonds and donated-value scrolls.

Mystery box openings also received a reward reveal polish pass. Rare pulls can now appear above your character at a larger size, briefly rising and fading out so the reward is visible without being buried in chat spam.

City Reputation Rework

City Reputation task and teleport system preview

The City Reputation system has been cleaned up into a more useful progression hub through ::rep. Each city now shows tasks, rewards, and direct teleport options instead of making players guess where to go next.

Edgeville focuses on Wilderness activity and unlocks Apex Point Store discounts.
Falador focuses on Mole, Falador NPCs, and rooftop activity, unlocking Prestige Shop discounts.
Kebos routes players through Shamans, Wyrms, Chambers targets, Pentyn, and Councillor Andrews, unlocking raid bonuses.
Varrock routes players through Green Dragons, King Roald, city NPCs, and rooftop activity, unlocking Superior Slayer bonuses.

Clicking task entries now acts like a real quality-of-life shortcut. If a task has a destination, the interface can send the player directly to that area or NPC. Finishing all four cities also awards 2 Catalyst Mystery Boxes.

Obor and Bryophyta Added

Hill Giants and Moss Giants now lead into their proper keyed boss fights.

Hill Giants can drop Giant keys, used to enter Obor.
Moss Giants can drop Mossy keys, used to enter Bryophyta.
Both bosses use solo-style instances so players get a clean fight.
Bryophyta includes Growthlings that must be dealt with before damage can continue cleanly.

This gives early and mid-game players a clearer reason to kill giants, while also adding more boss collection and progression hooks for accounts working toward broader goals.

New Tormented Demons Teleport

Tormented Demons were added into the teleport interface under the boss routes. Players can now reach them through the normal teleport system instead of needing staff directions or a manual path.

The new destination sends players to the Tormented Demon temple ruins and marks the fight as a hard boss route with no listed requirement.

Bond Point and Supporter Rank Restructure

Bond redemption and supporter progression received a cleanup pass so larger bonds and rank thresholds behave more clearly.

Redeeming bonds still increases the player's total donated amount for supporter rank progress.
Higher-value donor bonds award Donator Points directly, with larger bonds scaling up to larger point grants.
Rank-neutral seasonal/event bonds can still count as donated value without awarding Donator Points.
Supporter rank thresholds now extend into higher tiers such as Divine, Ascendant, and Apexian.

This should make bond value easier to understand and gives the high-end supporter path more room to grow.

Fixes and Polish

Completionist Cape upgrade ordering and display alignment were cleaned up in the Upgrade System.
Completionist Cape hover stats and item info support were patched for the client-side stat display path.
City Reputation task entries were rewritten to be clearer and more useful on mobile.
Halloween guide wording and reward references around Apex/Autumn Mystery Box naming.
Launcher update feed behavior was reviewed so update-tagged guides can feed the launcher update box cleanly when published.
Upgrade Machine only excepting notes resources fixed
